The Incan Festival of the Sun, held at the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, in Cusco, Peru, is an annual religious ceremony honoring the Sun God, Inti, one of the most revered deities in the Incan culture. “Inti” is Quechua for “sun”, “Raymi” is “festival”. Held in celebration of the winter solstice on the shortest day of the year, July 24th.
